Itinerary:

This event is for those that want to hike Kennesaw Mountain at a slower pace.

We will start and end at the visitors center.

We will hike 1.2 miles to the 1808 foot top of Big Kennesaw Mountain which is a climb of approximately 600 feet. From there we will drop down about 500 feet to the gap between Big Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw Mountain, then up and over a small hump, heading towards Little Kennesaw. We then descend to the base of Little Kennesaw.  From there we climb around 300 feet to the top of Little Kennesaw.  Then we'll head down the other side of Little Kennesaw, cross Burnt Hickory Road, and loop back to our starting point along a relatively flat side road.

Cost Includes:

There is a fee to use any of the parking lots within Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. When you park your vehicle in the park, your proof of payment is a KEMO Daily Pass, a KEMO Annual Pass, or an America the Beautiful Pass. Physical passes must be displayed from the inside rear view mirror or on the dashboard of your vehicle, making sure the face of the pass is visible from the outside. Digital passes will be tied to your vehicle's license plate number.

Fees are required at all 10 parking lots at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park.

You can purchase a daily pass for $5 or an annual pass for $40. The  KEMO passes are for Kennesaw Mountain only. Purchase your passes at the Visitor Center or online at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/2788. Unless you plan to first stop at the Visitor Center, purchasing your daily pass online is the best option.
