Itinerary:

Ok folks it will be so pretty this weekend I figured I want to go do a day hike.  But did not want to do it by myself so why not post it here.

So met at the carpool and we will head up to the park which should take about 1-1.5 hours.

Once there we will get our car passes and then park and start hiking the James Edmonds Trail which is rated difficult to strenuous and is approximately 7.2 miles.  Most of you know I am not that fast of a hiker and will be moving at my normal pace.  Which is about 1.5-2 miles an hour with some stops for pics and rest often.  But not so often to prevent us from getting done in a decent hour.

I plan to eat lunch on the trail so bring a lunch.

Oh yea and here is what the trail is like!

JAMES E. EDMOND TRAIL (Backcountry)
7.2 mile loop. Rated difficult to strenuous.

The 7.2-mile James E. Edmonds Backcountry Trail, named in honor of one of the park's first rangers, offers both day hiking and backpack camping. This trail is quite steep in a number of places and is rated as "moderate to strenuous." In laurel-filled coves, the trail follows cascading streams with small waterfalls. In the northernmost section of the park, the trail climbs to the summit of Lookoff Mountain and offers a stunning vista of Wolffork Valley and surrounding mountain ranges.
