Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike through the beautiful trails of the Vickery Creek unit of the Chattachoochee River National Recreation Area.    We will start at Riverside Park in front of the bathrooms.  Parking is free.

I am planning on hiking a moderate steady pace with only a few stops to gather up and hydrate.  This is not a fast fitness hike but please be sure you can keep a steady pace.

For those unfamiliar with Vickery Creek, the trails become somewhat technical in many places due to erosion that exposes roots and leads to difficult footing.  This makes it a bit challenging for newer hikers. Poles are advised for some of the steeper hills.

We will start by walking up a short street to enter the park and will return differently.   The plan is to do all the trails at Vickery looping back and forth and visting the waterfall and both bridges.
