Itinerary:

For this event, we'll be heading up to Northwest GA.  Pigeon Mountain is an offshoot of Lookout Mountain and has numerous recreational opportunities.  This time we will take the short hike to Rocktown and do some bouldering on the unique formations.  Its a fairly easy hike and the payoff is some of the best bouldering formations around.  We will spend a few hours bouldering and then head back out the way we came.

On our drive down the mountain, we will make 2 quick stops.  One to go check out the Lost Wall.  A long cliff formation with some really good climbing routes.  And for those that want, we'll take a quick stop at Petty John's Cave.  For this, we'll just quickly visit the entrance room.  But you will need a headlamp and helmet for this.

I will be bringing a crach pad.  And I will try to borrow another one.  But if anyone has access to one and can bring it, that would be great.

This land is owned by the state of Georgia and is paid for with funds from hunting and fishing license fees.  Therefore a current hunting or fishing license or Gororgia Lands Pass is required for access.  The cheapest way to go is a one day fishing permit for $10.00  A season long pass iis only a few dollars more.  I plan to go that route, since I plan on returning to climb at lLost Wall.  I will ask all participants to do this ahead of time.  It can be done online or at any Wal-Mart in the sporting goods section.

I'll be bringing one of my dogs.  We can have one more well behaved dog on the trip.
