Itinerary:

Please join us for a fun walk on the Eastside Beltline after dark.  We are hoping to see a beautiful sunset and lots of holiday lights throughout the route. We also hope to peek in people's windows and see lots of lights and trees in apartments and townhomes along the way.

We'll meet at the corner of 10th Street and Monroe Street which is the entrance to the Eastside Beltline.

NOTE.... The total distance will be about 5 miles all on pavement.  This is not a fast fitness hike but not a stroll either.   Please be sure you can keep a steady pace for 5 miles. Please be aware that we must stick together as a group.  If you desire to do your own thing then this is not the event for you.  Please also note that the time posted is an estimate as the restaurants might be crowded.  Please be flexible.

The plan is to walk the paved portion of the Eastside Trail on the Atlanta Beltline which takes us through Old Fourth Ward and Inman Park passing 3 Tiny Doors and the one and only Giant door.    We will pass by the location of Atlanta first baseball park where the Georgia Crackers played and view the famous 100 year old magnolia tree.  More info on this tree in link below.  We will stop for dinner at Bell Street Burritos near the Krog Street Market for dinner.   We may have to pick another place if this is too crowded.

PARKING.....There is a paid parking lot right behind Park Tavern Restuarant which is at the corner of 10th and Monroe. I believe it is $5.00.  There is also plenty of parking on side streets but please take note of the parking signs.  Some of the places are restricted parking and they DO ticket and the tickets are not cheap.  Also, do not park in the shopping center close to where we are meeting.  They do monitor that lot and they DO boot.

Please allow yourself enough time to find a place to park and meet up with the group.  We will be leaving on time.

More info on that famous magnolia tree. 1 1/2 minute video.
