Itinerary:

This is a lovely hike with up and down then all around!

 

We will meet at the parking lot by the bathrooms.

We will head up to the top of Stone Mountain  and rest for a couple of minutes.

Then we will head back down.

We will then go around the mountain on the Cherokee Loop trail, seeing a beautiful lake and small streams along the way.

Parking for the day is $20.00

Anuual Park pass is $40.00.

We will meet about ten minutes before the hike, about 7:50 am to make introductions and use the lou if needed!

Water.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From 1-285 to the Parks East Gate Entrance:

285/US 78 Interchange on the East Side of Town and drive 78 East about 7.7 miles.

Take the Stone Mountain Exit (Exit 8) to the Stone Mountain Park East Gate.

After entering the East Gate, drive about 1 mile straight ahead, crossin the lake en route.

Bear Right onto the Robert E. Lee Boulevard and follow it about another mile.

Look for the large Confederate Hall Parking Lot on your left and park.

We generally gather in front of the Stone Mountain Restroom building which is at the base of the walk up trail.
