Itinerary: | |||||||
The Alpharetta Greenway is a paved trail through surprisingly beautiful woods considering its "urban" setting. It is not unusual to see wildlife such as deer. It is dedicated to walkers, runners, bikers, etc. so we are not riding in traffic though there are some road crossings. We'll ride 10 easy miles (5 out and 5 back). Our pace will be determined by the group, but since it is a beginner trip count on an easy pace of 10-12 MPH. After the ride we'll go out to lunch. IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU are responsible for your bike maintenance or repairs on the trail. I'm happy to assist, but I simply cannot carry equipment for any possible repair on any possible bike. I highly recommend you have your bike tuned up before the ride.

How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | From Atlanta take GA-400 North to the Mansell Road exit. Turn right off the exit ramp then an immediate left turn onto North Point Parkway. Just after Ethan Allen on your right, there is a driveway (there is a sign but you cannot see it from a distance). Take that right and park in one of the gravel spaces. Look for the crowd of AOC folks.
Notes: | |||||||
You MUST be able to perform your own bike maintenance should you have any mechanical issues. * We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.
Cancellation/Partial Attendance: Please review the AOC cancellation policy. |
