Itinerary:

Calling all Mason Mill hikers (or anyone actually)!

We love this wonderful park in Decatur; however, it does not maintain itself. Please join Ranger Jonah and other volunteers to help keep this park beautiful. This volunteer day will focus on removing invasive species and setting up a pollinator habitat with possibility of a third project based on the number of volunteers.

Please wear long pants for this event and bring work gloves, if you have them. Tools are provided though you can bring loppers and hand pruners if you have them.

We will meet at the South Peachtree Creek trailhead at McConnell Drive and Mason Mill Road (NOT by the playground).

Restrooms are located at the playground - a short distance from the meeting location.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From the intersection of N. Druid Hills Rd. and Clairmont Rd., drive 0.3 miles south on Clairmont. Turn left on McConnell Drive at the light (gas station on the corner).

From Scott Boulevard and Clairemont Ave., drive north for 1.9 miles (passing the VA hospital on the left). Turn right on McConnell Drive.

After turning on McConnell, go a short distance to the stop sign. At the stop sign turn right, then take the next left into the park. DRIVE PAST THE PLAYGROUND AND RESTROOMS (though certainly make a stop at the restrooms if needed) until you reach the parking area by the South Peachtree Creek trailhead.
