Itinerary:

This is an 18 mile out and back bike ride on a mixed use trail consisting of concrete and boardwalks on the Arabia Mountain Path and Rockdale River Path.

This path winds through very scenic and hilly country. It will take us along a dedicated bike path (entirely off-road) from Alexander Lake over steep hills, over the South River, along the Rockdale River, and through pine forests to the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers. We will take a snack and restroom break at the monastery before retracing our steps back to the lake.

We will regroup at intersections to keep the group together and ensure no one is left behind. Since this is a mixed-use trail, we will be on the lookout for pedestrians and other cyclists.

There will be aprox. 1500 feet of elevation gain over the 18 miles ride. We will ride around a 10-12 mph pace.

We will meet next to the restrooms in the parking lot at Alexander Lake, where there is ample parking. Please arrive 15 minutes early for introductions, using the restrooms, and to get your bikes ready. We will be "wheels down" at 9 am.

The event will be cancelled if it is raining or the path is wet. No helmet, no ride!
