Itinerary:
Who's ready for a fun weekend in the woods?  I am!  So let's camp out by the stream, under the stars at my favorite campsite in Georgia!

Enota is located at the foot of the mighty Brasstown Bald (in fact, Enota is the original name for the bald!) and it's a really special place.  You'll fall in love with it the first time you visit.  Whether it's the pristine campsites, 4 majestic waterfalls that can be found on the property, in-ground trampolines (that's right, trampolines), the organic farm, or the mountain air, Enota has a lot to offer.

We snagged the primitive, streamside campsites on the edge of the property; far enough away from the family and RV area so that we shouldn't hear each other.  However, we'll be close enough to the main camp that we can easily walk to the public bathhouse (YES we will have hot showers!), trout pond, and hiking trails. Alcohol is permitted but bad behavior is NOT.  Please be responsible.  Note:  Enota offers recycling onsite, so we'll need to be sure to separate our recyclables from the garbage... and please, leave no trace!

Our campsite is adjacent to a big field, which means we'll be able to enjoy some superb stargazing (if the clouds cooperate!) at night, and during the day, there's plenty to see and do around the campgrounds.  Be sure to bring a Frisbee or a ball!  (Bonus points if it glows in the dark or lights up).

This is straightup car camping, so feel free to bring whatever luxuries you like, including a cooler and ice.  You'll be able to park right in front of your campsite.  Also, Enota has a small store in the main building in case you forget any incidentals.

What do we have planned?
Sunset on top of Brasstown Bald, duh!!!  We might do this Friday night or Saturday... or maybe both!  It will depend on when everyone arrives Friday night.  But do plan on bringing a snack to share and your favorite adult beverage so we can have a sunset picnic on top of the bald.  (Keep in mind we will also need responsible designated drivers to get us safely back to camp.)  Also, be sure to bring warm layers and a hat.  You could be in for a rude shock when you learn just how cold the top of the bald can be.  (Not kidding... we all FROZE up there last August.  Joey even lost a toe!  (j/k.  It was Frank.)

Our plan is for a relaxing weekend, but there will be options to "kick it up a notch" if you like.  Arquaquah and some other tough trails are either a short drive or long hike away.  I hope to lead a group to Arquaquah on Saturday-Need to train for the big Gregory Bald hike the following weekend!  And don't forget, Enota has a number of trails throughout the property, including some that link up to the AT.

In fact, those who are interested in lending a hand with trail maintenance are encouraged to bring work gloves and maybe a handsaws or an axe.  Enota can not officially ask for our help, but we are allowed to improve the trails if we like.  So, if you have experience and want to "give back" a little, you can!

What will we eat?
That's up to you!  Enota has a restaurant onsite that serves fresh, tasty food.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner [PMW1] are available and prices range from XX to XX.   We will be allowed to have campfires (bring cash for firewood), but we may or may not have a campstove to use... so be prepared.  We will have access to sinks at the bathhouse so we can wash up our plates and utensils after a meal.
