This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

The Friday hiking series has bailed on the Pinhoti Trail due to heat, blowdown, and bugs.

In a change of direction, we will explore Olde Rope MIll Park for a couple of hours.  We will maintain a moderate pace

to avoid being soaked with sweat but we will still be shining various shades of bronze and glistening.

All Trails shows 4 trails in this park totaling 14.4 miles and 1000 feet of elevation gain.  We will pick from the

following:

1.  Allatoona Falls Trail is "breathtaking, close to Toonigh Creek's mouth into Lake Allatoona.  It follows the Little

River until it rises to a cliff and its tranquil atmosphere is enhanced by the river's mirrored surface.  A peaceful

little cover cradles the falls waters.

2.  Little River Trail offers lots of shade and provides a peaceful and scenic walk.

3.  Avalanche Trail Loop is shady with gradual elevation changes.

4.  Rope Mill Loop is a quiet and peaceful walk through the forest.
