Itinerary:

Join me for a morning hike at Jones Bridge CRNRA. This is probably my favorite of the CRNRA areas – although popular it’s usually not overly crowded, and I enjoy the river views and varied terrain. We will mostly hike along the river for the first portion of the hike, with several excellent river views, then return to the parking lot via an inland loop. After returning to the parking lot, there will be an optional short loop in the other direction to another beautiful river overlook that adds about 0.5 miles. There are some sections that are rocky or have a lot of roots, and there are several moderate hills, with total elevation of about 300 feet. This is not a fast or training hike; the pace will mostly be upper moderate (about 2.8 mph), and slower up the hills. We will meet in the parking lot at 8:50 AM for introductions and start promptly  at 9:00 AM.

You will need a National Park parking pass ($5.00), or you can buy an annual pass for $40.00. Passes can be purchased at https://www.nps.gov/chat/planyourvisit/fees.htm or at a kiosk at Jones Bridge, but cash is not accepted.
