Itinerary:

Come join us for an early morning cross training workout at Stone Mountain!  If you like morning bootcamp, endurance events, etc., you will fully sweat and enjoy this morning event!

This fitness event is geared towards those athletes seeking to train, exercise, and prepare for adventure trips in mountain climbing, backpacking, hiking, running, biking, or just wanting an early morning cross training fitness challenge!

The event will consist of completing 4 main fitness activities - Running, biking, uphill/downhill hiking, and variety of exercises on the mountain.

Fitness Agenda:

5 mile run - you should be able to finish this in under 50-55 minutes. After the run, we all regroup in the parking lot - 5 minute break (get bikes ready and put on helmets and bike shoes) - and get on our bikes (You are responsible to supply your own bicycle, helmet, etc.).

10 mile bike - you should be able to bike 10 miles in under 50-55 minutes. After the bike ride, we will all regroup in the parking lot - 5 minute break (get on hiking shoes and hiking packs) - and get ready to hike.

4 mile hike with exercises - we then go up and down the mountain 2 times. Each time up and down - when moving fast - is about 40 minutes. So, we can go up and down twice - but do 20 mins of some additional stuff during the descents - some fast repeats on the steep part, some push ups, abs, stretches - boot camp sort of stuff.  Optional:  Carry a lite or fully loaded backpack.

Total work out is 4 hours.  Event will be from 7-11 AM to beat the heat. Everyone should arrive at 6:45 AM to meet in front of the bathrooms near the Confederate Hall at the bottom of the walk-up trail.

Plan would be to move quickly through the work-out to finish in 4 hours total.

Park gates open at 6 AM, entrance fee is $10 per car, $35 annual pass
