Itinerary:
Now that summer is here in all its hot and humid glory, it is time to cool off on some waterfall and swimming hole hikes...

We will begin with Toccoa Falls...this is on the grounds of a college campus and is more of a walk than a hike.  However, it is a beautiful waterfall that is worth checking out even if we won't be able to get our feet wet.

But next up is the best swimming hole of the day at Panther Creek Falls.  The plan is to take the shortcut trail...just about 1.5 miles round trip and 500' of ascent.  We will take a long break at the falls, wading and swimming and just enjoying the scenery.   You can actually sit in front of the falls and have the falling water massage your back...very relaxing.

Next is a short drive to the trailhead for Panther and Angel Falls...this is a 2.2 mile hike and with about 500' of total ascent.  Unfortunately you can't really get into the water here, but it will be our longest hike of the day and a nice little trail to enjoy.

Just down the road is Minnehaha Falls, which is one of the best in GA.   This one is fun because you can walk all over the waterfall, as it is made up of different levels of "steps" and really isn't slippery (although everyone should still be careful of course).  But we can go all the way up to the top and even creek walk a bit up there.

Another short drive to Bad Branch Falls...no swimming hole here but a nice cool spray of water off the rocks and a good place to pose for pics.  Each of these last two are less than 1 mile round trip hikes.

There is limited parking at the Panther Creek alternate trailhead and also at Bad Branch and Minnehaha, which is why we are not allowing "Meet at Event" and also why the max group size is not larger.  We may still have some issues with parking, so may need to be a little flexible as far as the order of a couple of these falls, but we will try to get to all of them.
