Join me on a fun day hike! as we complete this loop!


We will start at the top of the falls by the restrooms. The Approach trail makes for a great rewarding day hike. There are hardly any views on Frosty Mountain but a steady climb until mile 4.5 where we approach the sign for the Hike Inn. We will have lunch at the Hike Inn.

In between, we will observe water breaks, stopping briefly at intersections/junctions. After lunch we wiill continue down the Len Foote Trail to the parking lot at the top of the Falls.


Pls note that there is NO CARPOOL for this event.
$5 parking fee applies unless you have a Georgia State Parks annual pass. Eleveation gain is aprox. 2300ft. Recent D4 or higher experience required to join the fun.

Pls note that duration time is an estimate, so we need to have some flexibility. It is possible we may finish earlier or few mins later.

Event Directions:

Amicalola State Park is 15 miles northwest of Dawsonville on GA 52. Take 400 North to GA 53 (on your left). Take GA 53 West to GA 183 Northonto GA 52 East. Entrance to Amicalola State Park will be on your left.
