Itinerary:

The Emery Creek Trail is a fun mix of creek crossings, waterfalls and mountain climbing. Join us as we avoid the crowds and enjoy a Friday hike in the Cohuttas!

We will be doing about 15 creek crossings (each way) on this adventure, with the deepest crossing first. Expect a maximum of knee deep on the first crossing (probably less), with most crossings around ankle deep. We will pass two waterfalls on our way up before transitioning to a more traditional mountain climb to the top. You may want to use water shoes for the first section and switch to boots for the climb, but you may choose to use either one for the duration. We will be stopping to change shoes once on the way up and once on the way down. We will find a scenic spot to eat our lunch somewhere along the way.

This is a difficult D5 hike with about 3000 feet of elevation gain, recent D5 experience is required to join the fun.
