Itinerary:
This hike is for Monday morning. I figure there should be a few of you in town that have the day off.

The trail is a 5 mile path crossing seven rustic footbridges over Pine Log Creek. From two overlooks, hikers can view Pine Log Mountain - one of the highest elevations in Bartow County's Appalachian foothills. The trail system includes two loops east and west and is rated moderate. Although some of the terrain is rugged there is only one significant climb, with an elevation gain of about 420 feet. The eastern loop takes hikers by an early CCC quarry pond for picturesque views.

It's quite a nice hike so close to town. I've done this trail several times now. This is the perfect place to go when you don't want to spend all day between hiking and traveling to & from the hike.

Located about just 30 minutes north of South Canton. You'll be back in time for any afternoon plans.

Friendly dogs welcome.
