Itinerary:
Due to unforseen circumstances I have had to change the date of this event!

We will head out bright and early and a couple friends will have ropes and gear to help us get up some stone walls in the wilderness.  This climb is planned for Currahee Mountain in North Georgia, but is weather dependent. 

Everyone will need to have their own helmet, shoes, harness and belay device.  You will need to know how to belay.  If you have not been to any of the indoor climbing events, or if I haven't had a chance to climb with you I will contact you about your experience level.

How to Get There:

Start address: Indian Trail Park and Ride 1825 Indian Trail Lilburn Rd Norcross
End address: Currahee Mountain Toccoa

Start at: Indian Trail Park and Ride 1825 Indian Trail Lilburn Rd Norcross

Take I-85 North to I-985 North. This will eventually become US Highway 441.
Take the first Toccoa exit (17/365) and turn right. Follow this down the mountain to a traffic light/intersection (there is a Shell station to the left).
Turn right and proceed about three miles.
Turn left onto a gravel road (with a small brown national park sign), just before a manufacturing plant, and follow it to the top of Currahee Mountain.
The trail skirts the edge of the fenced tower and goes sharply downhill to the top of the Slab Area.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $59.20 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
