Itinerary:
Join me for 2 times up and down Stone Mountain (distance about 4.9 miles) then 1 time around on the Cherokee trail (distance about 5 miles) for a total distance of about 10 miles.

As we come down the mountain the 2nd time, we'll turn onto the Cherokee trail and go clockwise around the mountain. Towards the end of the trail instead of going back up onto the mountain we'll go thru the Nature Garden and finish the last couple 100 yds on the sidewalk.

We'll be moving most of the time with brief water (bring at least 2 quarts) / fruit / snack breaks. Be sure to bring both.

The goal of this hike is to enjoy a good workout. No time for picture taking or sight seeing. So, this is not a beginners hike! You must have some experience hiking at a steady pace and be ready for a workout.

Watch the weather! This event will be cancelled due to rain.  Likewise, a "cancelled" notice for the event will appear on the AOC calendar.

Meet at 8:20 AM to sign in - the hike starts at 8:30 sharp.

Required Items to Bring:
