Itinerary:
Join us for an morning hike around Stone Mountain. We will be following the Cherokee Trail, also known as the Stone Mountain Loop for a hike of about 5.5 miles.  This hike will bypass any climb on the mountain itself.

This scenic hike takes us past two lakes, an old time gristmill, an historic covered bridge, an outdoor quarry exhibit, and offers great views of the mountain. At times we will hike on exposed granite and at other times we will hike along wooded trails. We will maintain a moderate to fast pace - around 3.0 to 3.5 mph.

We will meet at Marta Park n Ride lot, its a free parking. From there we will take  short walk toward tiny gate which open at Confederate Hall parking lot. Those having annual pass or intending to pay parking fee of $8 can meet the group at Confederate Hall Parking lot, but please notify the trip leader so that we won't expect you at Marta Lot.

The hike will start promptly at 8:30 am from Marta lot. So plan to arrive ten minutes early.
