Itinerary:
Intermediate

After claiming a picnic spot, the group will split for hiking and biking...

For hiking, we will hike the easy Perimeter Trail (woods, rivers, streams and maybe a deer) around the mountain.

For biking, we will ride 4 laps around Stone Mountain. Robert E. Lee Boulevard is a 4.8 mile loop around the mountain with some good climbs. More half of it is completely dedicated to bikers and walkers.

After the ride we will cook out (BYOB).

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Stone Mountain, Georgia 10:00 in the Studdard picnic area. Ill have to figure out exactly how folks will find us. We will have a sign or banner. From Atlanta take I-85 north to I-285 east. Take exit 39B, which is highway 78 east. Take exit 8, which is the main entrance to Stone Mountain. Once inside the park follow the main road until you come to a fork. Turn left. The Studdard picnic area is on your right.

Are dogs allowed? no
Will this event occur Rain or Shine? no, we do not ride in the rain or on very wet trails to avoid destroying the trails.
* We encourage all members to follow our Etiquette Guidelines while participating in AOC events.

Cost Includes:You will pay $8.00 per car for park entry (however it is free if you bike in).

We will grill out afterwards, so please pay $8.00 upon sign up to us for the meal. No cancellations after Wednesday, April 6th. No refunds after Wednesday, April 6th.
