Itinerary:

This trail has been a very popular one for the AOC this Summer and I want in on the action. I won't be setting the pace to break any land speed records, but we'll keep on pace to complete the 3.5 miles to the waterfall by lunch time. There aren't any stressful elevation changes, but there are some spots that can be slippery. We'll spend about an hour at the waterfall for some swimming and eating. We'll be taking the same trail back to the parking lot for an early afternoon departure back to the carpool location. Fun, right?

Dogs are welcome. I like dogs.

Please note that there is a $3 parking fee per vehicle if you park at the trail head parking lot.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take I-985 North which turns into US 23. Stay on US 23 and 16 miles past Cornelia turn left onto Glen Hardman Road. After .1 miles turn right onto US 441 Historical. It is about 1 mile to the Panther Creek Recreation Area parking lot on your left.

Carpool Cost: Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $57.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
