Decatur Hike- slightly longer and harder than my previous Decatur hike

Join me on a beautiful walk through woods near the Emory campus when trees are starting to bloom. We will walk at a leisurely-moderate pace on part boardwalk, part dirt, and part paved walkway, We will see streams, wildlife, circle Candler Lake, and pass Lullwater Mansion, the home of the Emory President.  This hike is longer and somewhat more difficult than my previous hikes starting at Medlock park because we will go off the boardwalk onto some spur trails that are a little slippery and steep.   Also, we will be crossing the suspension bridge and hiking a loop on the other side of the South Fork of the Peachtree Creek.  I have listed this as "exploratory" becuase some of the spurs off the boardwalk are new to me. (I did a practice hike but I still consider it exploratory) However, we will go as slow as we need to to make sure that everyone is safe and can have water,  We will stay together. The total elevation is barely 400 feet, Again, I will emphasize that we are CROSSING THE SUSPENSION BRIDGE in case you have a fear of heights or swaying bridges.  

Medlock Park across from 948 Scott Circle, Decatur, Georgia, Park at the end of the playground parking lot near the red dirt baseball field. There are bathroooms in the baseball clubhouse in the center of the complex.
