Itinerary:

On this trip to Panther Creek Falls we'll be keeping a moderate pace to complete the 7 mile round trip hike with swim break to less than 7 hours. There aren't any stressful elevation changes, but there are some spots that can be slippery; so please bring footwear that can handle light scrambling. We'll spend at least an hour at the waterfall for some swimming and lunch. We'll be taking the same trail back to the parking lot for an early afternoon departure back to the carpool location.

There is a $3 parking fee per vehicle if you park at the trail head parking lot. There is free parking on the side of the road, but it might not spots available when we arrive.

Take I-985 North which turns into US 23. Stay on US 23 and 16 miles past Cornelia turn left onto Glen Hardman Road. After .1 miles turn right onto US 441 Historical. It is about 1 mile to the Panther Creek Recreation Area parking lot on your left.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $57.60 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
