Atlanta Outdoor Club member Clay Cooper has a great eye for capturing some unique photos! He joined the club in 2023 and enjoys incorporating his experience in professional video production and collaboration technologies into his outdoor photography and vlogging activities with the AOC and beyond.

Come learn about some of the tools, tips and techniques he uses in documenting his outdoor adventures. Learn a trick or two from him that you can add to your skill set.

We'll meet at the Lost Corner Preserve in Sandy Springs, Georgia at the trailhead. From there - we will walk a very short distance into the park to snap a few photos of some of the interesting features in this urban green space on our cell phones. (Clay will help direct the group's photo composition/items and scenes to photograph.)

After spending some time in the preserve, we'll move inside to the Lost Corner Cottage where Clay will continue to show us some of his photography tricks during a short presentation.

Once the photo lesson is complete, you're invited to stick around for complementary pizza and light snacks. You are also welcome to bring your own food. The goal is to wrap up the event no later than 6pm.

There are restrooms inside the cottage you can access.

This event is rain or shine, since we have a cottage at our disposal at Lost Corner!

We look forward to a fun day of photography and food!

From city of Sandy Springs: Located on 24 acres of beautiful woodlands and nature trails, Lost Corner Preserve is a destination for nature lovers and history buffs. The property dates back to mid-1800’s and was once a working farm that has had only two owners since Native Americans inhabited the land. Lost Corner Preserve is located at the corner of Brandon Mill and Dalrymple Roads. The park features, a community garden, greenhouse, apiary, walking trails and renovated cottage.
