7S7W = 7 Sunrises in 7 Weeks!

SUNRISE: 06:27 AM

Calling all Early Birds! This "7 Sunrises in 7 Weeks" series of hikes around ATL has a three-fold purpose:

1. Beat the summer heat,

2. Catch a spectacular sunrise, and

3. Get your daily workout in before breakfast.

So, what's not to like?

#3 in the Series: Piedmont Park via E. Beltline

We'll start bright and early on the South end of the Krog Tunnel, ooh and aah as the glowing orb appears over the horizon (fingers crossed for only high level clouds), make our happy way past the various artwork installations on the E. Beltline, to the western edge of Piedmont Park Lake, around the lake and back via the beltline to Krog Street tunnel. Ta daa!

DISCLAIMER: This is a brisk hike (2.7-3 miles per hour = 20 to 22 minute/mile) so, if you have mobility issues, are recovering from injury, or prefer a slower pace, please sit this one out!

Hiking boots/shoes w/ good traction

Your SOH (sense of humor)

Late cancellations, particularly within 36 hours of the event, make it difficult for those on the waitlist to attend. Please be courteous to your fellow AOC members and cancel with as much notice as possible.

I usually hike RAIN-or-SHINE! However, in case of severe weather or other unforeseen emergencies that warrant a cancellation, I will text/email you at least TWO HOURS before the start of the event.
