Come enjoy a shady walk and dodge some golf balls as we cruise the urban path rounding Chastain Park and the North Fulton Golf Course. Once a quiet woodland and later a battlefield, Chastain Park is today one of the city's favorite playgrounds. We'll be strolling along the 3 and a 1/2 mile paved and graded perimeter, we'll also pass some notable historic houses sites and buildings. Anyone willing to do a little research and tell us what it is we're passing will be thoroughly admired and appreciated.
We'll keep a brisk pace; remember to bring water and sturdy shoes and perhaps a snack if you're joining us after work. See y'all then!

I-285 to Northside Drive Exit (#22), South to Mount Vernon Highway. East on Mount Vernon Highway to Powers Ferry Road, then South on Powers Ferry about four miles to the park.
There are parking lots adjacant to the ball fields and ampitheater, and street parking is permitted on West Wieuca Road. We can meet in front of the Chastain Recreation Center at 140 West Wieuca Road.
Chastain Park is also serviced by MARTA - (bus #38 - Chastain Park) from the Lindbergh Rapid Rail Station. MARTA: (404)848-5000; www.itsmarta.com)
