Itinerary:

The weather forecast for Saturday morning in Stone Mountain is dry and cool, so lets take advantage of it...

Join me for a hike around Stone Mountain. We'll be hiking along the Cherokee Trail and Connecting Trail. For those that have never hiked it, there are a few hills, creek crossing.  We will hike at a moderate pace of 2.5 to 2.8 miles with a couple of stops for a water break.

Lets meet at the walk-up trail (near Confederate Hall).

Please plan to arrive a little early for intros and whatever else. We leave promptly at 10:00.

PARKING
Parking is $20 daily. If you plan to visit again, it would be worth it to purchase the annual pass for $40.

ALTERNATIVE PARKING AND DISCLAIMER
Free parking can be found about 1/2 mile outside the park in Stone Mountain Village. Please note that it's the weekend, the weather is nice, so it may be a little difficult to find a spot today. If you do park in the village, make your way to East Mountain Street and walk towards Robert E. Lee. It will take you directly to an open gate that you can walk thru...usually.
