Morning Kayak on the Little River

Come join us Sunday morning for a paddle on the Little River in Woodstock. We will put in at Olde Rope Mill Park and paddle our way downstream to the Lake Allatoona Waterfall. We will take a short break at the waterfall and then continue further down stream and explore the area. After covering about 3 miles we will make our way back up stream. Once we return to Olde Rope Mill Park, there is an optional short paddle a little further upstream to take a peek at the old mill. This is a flat water paddle with very little current on our return upstream. 

Parking is free at the park.  There is about a 50 yard walk from the nearest parking/unloading area to the dock so be prepared to carry your boat.  There is an accessible EZ launch dock at our launch point. The park does have restrooms.

Please plan to arrive in time to unload your kayak so that we can launch at 8am.

1. From I-575 take exit 9 (Riverwalk Pkwy)
2. Go East on Riverwalk Pkwy
3. Take the first left at the Racetrac onto Olde Rope Mill Park Rd.
4. Continue to the end of the road.  Launch point is straight ahead.
5. If the parking area is full there is overflow parking back at the top of the hill across from the Kia dealership.
