Whitewater rafting is a popular outdoor activity for several reasons including the thrill of navigating challenging rapids, the physical challenge of paddling, the opportunity to be on a beautiful river with gorgeous surroundings and connecting with nature while bonding with friends. There is no experience needed as there will be a raft guide with us. You WILL get wet (half the fun is getting wet and midway down the river we can get out and swim as well!). So you will need extra clothing and shoes. No experience needed (as I said there is a guide and my children have been rafting with me since they were three years old). Just bring a good attitude and some joy! We need to arrive about THIRTY MINUTES before the event. YOU MUST GET YOUR RESERVATION BEFORE SIGNING UP FOR THIS HIKE. I have already sent an email noting that I will send the names of our group so as to get into two rafts.
You have to sign up with ROLLING THUNDER. Website is: Rollingthunderriverco.com The trip is Ocoee Middle Section July 11th at 12 pm. The cost is $60.50 per person and the AOC fee is $5.00 When you sign up, please let them know you will be on the raft with Mahsheed Khajavi (Atlanta Outdoor Club)
I will send them a final list by July 4th.
AOC fee is non-refundable.
