Note: This is an "EXPLORATORY" trip. This means that there are parts of this trip, or perhaps the whole trip, that is new to your Trip Leader(s). However, they are confident that this will not be an issue.
This note is here so that you can make an informed decision. When a Trip Leader isn't personally familiar with a trip, there is an increased chance of things not going as planned and you need to be prepared. The Trip Leader may have additional details in the itinerary.

Itinerary:

This is an out and back trail in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest.  The trailhead is located just off of GA- 23, a few miles south of Tallulah Gorge State Park.

The trail runs through a hilly, wooded area passing by several small waterfalls.  The main Panther Creek Falls is about 4 miles into the trail.

There are several tiny creek crossings which don't require anything but a hop over.   We will hike to the largest waterfall (Panther Creek Falls) where we will stop, swim if desired and have lunch. Plan on spending 30 minutes here.

Anticipate a hike of about 2.8 mph.

A bathing suit or towel will be a good idea if you plan to swim.

After lunch, we will turn around and head back to our cars.
