Please join me for one of my favorite mountain hikes, Bartram Trail to Pinnacle Knob.

This hike has it all, beautiful waterfalls and a gorgeous mountaintop view.

We will hike along the Bartram Trail past Becky Branch Falls and Martins Creek Falls. We will then turn onto the Pinnacle Knob trail #58. It is a steep climb to the mountaintop for our lunch break. After lunch, we will head back the way we came.

This is a moderately paced, 2.7 mph, D4 hike with an 1800 feet elevation gain. We will stay together as a group. Please have solid D4 or challenging D3 AOC hiking experience.

There is a parking lot at the trailhead but no restrooms. Please plan to stop in Clayton before reaching the trailhead.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start the hike promptly at 9:30 a.m.

From Highway 23/441, turn right (if coming from the south) onto Rickman Street. Follow Rickman Street for approximately .5 miles to its end at Warwoman Road. Turn right onto Warwoman Road and proceed approximately 2.3 miles to the Warwoman Dell Recreation Area. Turn right on a gravel road leading to the parking lot (it comes up quick after a sharp turn). Park in the first parking area on the left, but there is more parking available at the end of the drive.
