Itinerary:

We will be going to Red Top Mountain State Park for an afternoon hike (http://gastateparks.org/info/redtop/). This will be a nice and relaxing hike where we’ll take our time to explore the changing seasons at this relatively close and beautiful park. We will explore the 5.5 mile Homestead loop trail and combine with the Sweet Gum Nature and Visitor Center Trails for a total of about 7.5 miles. The scenery is amazing here and we will walk near the lake with only small changes in elevation. Bring a light snack to eat at a nice viewpoint overlooking the lake.
