THIS HIKE IS ONLY FOR PARTICIPANTS OF THE HADRIAN'S WALL WALK TRIP!

 

On the final segment of the hike, you will head out of Heddon-on-the-Wall, walking alongside Hadrian's Wall, which will start to change to the wide rolling mass of the River Tyne ending in the wonderful city of Newcastle Upon Tyne, where you can soak in some of the local culture and get accustomed to the very distinct "Geordie" accent of the people from Newcastle.
Take a photo with the Roman Soldier sculpture
Visit the museum at Wallsend
Visit the well-preserved ruins of the Roman fort of Segedunum!
Visit the parts of the wall and the Roman Baths
If you still have some energy left, visit the Tyne Bridge, explore the BALTIC – Centre for Contemporary Art, and enjoy lunch at Grainger Market. Overnight in Newcastle.

Weather appropriate clothing

Hiking boots/shoes w/ good traction

Water (2 to 3 litres), and

Your SOH (sense of humor)

Headlamp
