Itinerary:

Please join me for a hike on the Mingus Creek Trail This is one of three GSMNP hikes I will be leading. Join one, two, or all three. I will be staying in Gatlinburg Tuesday and Wednesday nights. If anyone is interested, we can meet for dinner.

I have not done this hike before so it is noted as Exploratory.

We will start at the parking area for the historic Mingus Mill. The trailhead is located at the far end of the parking area. The trail follows the Mountains-to-Sea trail. There is a side trail to the old family cemetary. There are creek crossings so you should bring your hiking poles.

The hike is a 6 mile out-and-back trail with 1500+ feet elevation gain. We will stay together as a group. To join hike, please have solid D4+ AOC experience in the last 4 weeks.

Please plan to arrive 10 - 15 minutes early so we can start the hike promptly at 1:00 p.m.

Wear appropriate clothing

Water (2 to 3 L)/hydrating drinks/electrolytes
