Itinerary:

We will walk portions of the blue, yellow and red trail sections. They will take us along steep slopes overlooking the Etowah River, Allatoona Dam, and Allatoona Lake. We may encounter hawk, fox, or deer and see wild grapevines, poplar trees and azalea bushes. Vineyard Mountain Trail was developed as an Eagle Scout service project and is expanded periodically.

Water and good walking shoes.

From Atlanta go to I-75 Exit 288, then GA 113 south to US 41 South. See Riverside Park sign then left onto Allatoona Dam Road.

Estimated cost per vehicle for this event is $20.00 using a reimbursement rate guideline of $0.400 per mile. The total amount should be divided by the number of people in the vehicle, including the driver. This is a guideline, not a rule, for drivers but the cost should not be higher unless there are extenuating circumstances.
