Atlanta Streets Alive is an event that happens throughout the city twice a year, when the streets of Atlanta closes to vehicles, so outdoor enthusiasts can walk/bike/skate/skip/jump rope, etc. The streets come alive!! -- with music and games to entertain along the way. (And freebies! Now who doesn't like free stuff?)

For this event, the city will close Ralph David Abernathy and Georgia Avenue for 3.4 miles between 2pm to 6pm.

KYM'S PLAN:

Lets meet at Grant Park Rec Center. Parking is limited here, but there should be plenty of street parking on the streets around the park. Please plan to arrive a bit earlier than usual to find parking. After intros, we'll walk across the park to ASA at Georgia Ave.

We will keep a leisurely to moderate pace along the route to the West End - stopping when we find something of interest. On the way back, we will go at a more moderate pace - cause we would have already been there, done that. :)

Please be flexible with the timing of this event (+/- 30 mins) cause we never know what fun thing will distract us.
