PLEASE FOLLOW THE WRITUP DIRECTIONS FOR PARKING.

GOOGLE MAP LINK and AOC COORDINATES are accurate.

The hike total elevation gain is about 2600 feet.

We will start at a parking lot south of the lake. We’ll pass by the campground and the lake before reaching the famous stairs. They’re a bit of a challenge, but they’re worth it! You’ll climb alongside a 729-foot waterfall.

The stairs are made of textured metal set on wooden frames. There are platforms for rest along the way, and we'll get to see some amazing views of the falls as you climb.

There are two main sections: a smaller set of around 175 stairs leading to the mid-point, and a longer set of about 425 stairs to reach the top. That makes a total of about 600-604 steps for the whole hike.

There will be several scenic overlooks along the Hike Inn Trail, so we can stop and enjoy the surroundings.

We’ll pace a bit faster than moderate, but we’ll stop several times to take in the views. We’ll also have a good rest at the Hike Inn for lunch.

The Hike Inn Trail is well-maintained and meanders through bridges and passes. The views should be great with the fall weather, so you’ll be able to see everything clearly.

Len Foote Inn is a unique backcountry eco-lodge, take a few minutes to look into the concept on their website https://hike-inn.com/education.

It MIGHT be possible for us to buy their famous dessert, but don't take it against me if we can't.

Then we will retrace our steps back to the cars!
