Join me on this scenic hike on the Bartram Trail.

We will start at Courthouse Gap where parking is tight. Uphill we go on the Courthouse Gap Trail for about a half mile until we reach the Bartram Trail. A right turn would take us to Pinnacle Knob with its popular overlook, but we are headed left where adventure awaits. Up and down we go as we head over and around countless knobs and take in the beautiful views of this trail. We eventually make our way to Wilson Gap where many of you will recognize the intersection with the Darnell Creek Trail. We will continue our trek on the Bartram for another 2.5 miles until we reach the scenic overlook at Wilson Knob. This overlook will make for awesome lunchtime views before we retrace our steps to our cars.

This is a difficult D5 hike with about 3000 feet of elevation gain, recent D5 experience is required to join the fun.

Since parking is tight at the trailhead, those who choose to not participate in the carpool may be asked to gather at the Clayton Ingles to reduce the number of cars.
