Total elevation gain 1600ft, 50% rock scrambling, 50% stairs climbing

We’ll try our best to get permits so we can take advantage of the park's fun activities, but hey, if that doesn’t work out, we can drive 20 minutes to hike a D4 to Glassy Mountain.

Segment 1 - Listen & Learn

We will start at the visitor center, and take the permit 30 minutes class

Segment 2 - Steps Pounding

We start the adventure by going to overlook #2 on North Rim, go down 347 metal steps, cross the suspension bridge , go down another 221 steps to Hurricane Falls.

Then, we climb 568 steps to get on the South Rim.

Segment 3 - boulder Scrambling

Arrive to South Wallenda Tower, Here is where we start the best part of this adventure: The Sliding Rock Trail, we will scrambl down the rocks and boulders to the gorge floor at Bridail Veil Falls, and scramble back up again.

The scramble is 0.5 miles long each direction, 800 feet elevation change each way.

Segment 4 - Overlooks Overload

A brief walk to all the overlooks on the rim backwards, from overlook 10 all the way back to overlook 1 and Inspiration Point.

Segment 5 - Picnicking

Lunch at the picnic tables by the Interpretive center
