Itinerary:

Hey everyone! I’m planning a fitness hike, and I’ll be “suffering through” it all, to get back in shape to enjoy all the fun trips this year!

READ BEFORE YOU SIGN UP:

1. This hike might not fully capture how much fun it is to hike with AOC, as we’ll likely spread out to push our fitness limits.

2. If you haven’t hiked a D5 with AOC before but know your way around the first 2 miles (from the visitor center to the mile marker in the photo), you’re welcome to join.

3. I won’t wait for you or try to catch up; you’re free to complete this hike at your own pace, as long as you finish on time.

4. If you’re faster than me, please text me to let me know you’re done and leaving, so I don’t have to wonder what happened to you.

5. If I’m ahead of you, I’ll be at the bench near the visitor center. Just swing by when you’re done.

We’ll meet at the visitor center, hike up Big Kennesaw, then tackle the smaller one until we reach the 2-mile trail marker, as shown in the picture. After that, we’ll head back to the trailhead.

And get this: We’ll do it all over again!

This tactic will give us a total of 8 miles, with a “massive” 2533 ft elevation gain.
