Thank you to Greg for sharing his hike writeup. Join us as we go from Young Harris up to Brasstown Bald via the Wagon Train trail. The road was built in the 1950's using convict labor as part of Georgia's Route 66. We have heard this trail is beautiful in the winter. Also, excited to hike another trail to Brasstown Bald. It'll be a great chance to maybe see some snow and ice formations as we hike to Brasstown Bald -- Georgia's highest peak at 4,784 ft. We'll start on the Wagon Train trailhead in Young Harris,
hike about 6 miles to the Visitor's Center where we will
then continue 0.6 miles to the summit and enjoy the
wonderful 360 degree views and a quick lunch. We'll then
return the way we came. NOTE: Restrooms, store, etc. are closed for the season. | |||||||
