Elevation gain is 2150.

This trailhead is at Foothills Trail Lower Falls, this is part of Duke Energy - and is free to park.

The trail starts here (sometimes there is a portapotty, but don't count on it) and goes through some 'flatish' woods to the creek, where we cross a bridge and make our way along the Foothills Trail (leaving the creek) until we reach Hilliard Falls (I've not been here but, have a good handle on the Foothills Trail).

Hilliard Falls is a cascading waterfall. We'll enjoy the solitude and beauty - and lunch, before heading back to our cars (and home).

I am intentionally not including Lower Whitewater Falls and keeping this to a D4.

PLEASE NOTE: To qualify for this event you must have a D4 in the last 3 months with AOC If you don't have this qualifying event, you will be moved to the waitlist. This is for the safety of the group.

Google Foothills Trail Lower Falls.

Cell service may be spotty, be sure you know where you are going before you leave.

You may not be able to reach the trip leaders if your plans change, we will start the hike on time.
