Itinerary:

Join me for a challenging training hike at Kennesaw Mountain.  This is a great hike for people who are signed up for travel trips such as Tour du Mont Blanc 2026 (hint, hint).

We will take the well-worn path over Big Kennesaw and Little Kennesaw stopping at the 2.5 mile marker on the back side of Little Kennesaw. We wil turn around at the 2.5 and return to the Visitor Center.  After a short break, we will repeat the same path, finishing the 10 miles at the Visitor Center.

This hike will be done at your own pace, however, all hikers must finish the hike in the 4 hour allotted time in order to get credit.

Hikers must have multiple D4 hiking experience to be eligible for this hike.

How to Get There:

We'll meet at the Kennesaw Mountain Visitor Center, 900 Kennesaw Mountain Dr, Kennesaw, GA 30188. (The visitor center is near the intersection of Old Highway 41 NW and Stilesboro Road NW.)

If you plan to park at the Visitor Center you should plan to arrive by 8:30.  This lot fills up quickly and if you need to move to the overflow lot, it is a 10 minute walk to the visitor center.
 
We will meet on the Visitor Center porch at 8:45 for introductions and hike instructions.

Notes:

There is a $5 parking fee at both the Visitor Center and overflow lots, unless you have an annual pass.  Be sure to display your annual or day pass on your dashboard, as both lots are routinely monitored by park employees.
