Itinerary:

This month’s workplan has us working from Pigeon Hill to Little Kennesaw Mountain. We will be removing, repairing, and replacing fencing ffrom Pigeon Hill to just below the top of Little Kennesaw. If we have time we will deberm and address trail creep as needed. We will be carring tools from to Pigeon Hill parking lot to the work sites.

VOLUNTEER!! YOUR PARK NEEDS YOU!! 

We will stay together working as a group & follow the instructions of our Crew Leader(s) of which you will be assigned to my group. We will learn the procedures of how to make our trails better for today & for the future. 

If we have more than 6 sign up, I have the authority to increase this to all that sign up. There will be no waiting list for this event.


Required Items to Bring:

Work cloths and comfortable closed toe shoes

 

Hong pants are required. Work Gloves, I recommend that you bring your own. We can provide some, I'm not sure you want to wear these.

Pigeon Hill Parking Lot (Old Mountain Rd. and Burnt Hickory Road)

NOTE: Parking instructions will be sent out as part of the Pre-Hike email. 

Drive from Atlanta on I 75 to Exit 269. At the bottom of the ramp turn left on Barrett Parkway and proceed approximately 4.5 miles. Turn left on Burnt Hickory Rd and proceed approximately 1.4 miles. Parking lot will be on the right.

 Alternate Directions from Downtown Marietta: Hwy 120 (Dallas Hwy) from downtown Marietta thru traffic light, right on Burnt Hickory, parking lot 1.5 miles down on left.

 

PARKING PASSES:  Parking passes will be issued to volunteers at the time they arrive. Someone will direct you as to where to park. The present plan has volunteers parking in the field next to the parking lot. This may change depending on the weather occuring in the days before the event.

We now have a new link to the Friends of Kennesaw Mountain for signing up for this event. You will also need to go to this link to sign up. You will only have to fill out the paperwork at the bottom once per year starting in October.
