Itinerary:

Yes, 404 Day is actually an official day for Atlantans. There are events celebrating it around the city, however, since this an active outdoor club, we will celebrate it with an epic walk to some  famous spots.

If you wanna join me, lace up the sneakers, and come and represent wearing your favorite Atlanta merch (pretty please, if you have it... If not, boo on you :)

THE PLAN/ROUTE
We'll meet at Grant Park (Atl's oldest park). We'll meet at the Rec Center (see directions below). After intros, we'll take off for our 404 adventure to these other sites:

  • Historic Oakland Cemetary - we'll walk thru to the famous graves
  • Martin Luther King Center
  • Jackson Street Bridge (famous bridge for selfies of the city)
  • Atlanta Civic Center (or what used to be)
  • Centennial Olympic Park
  • Pemberton Place (site of Coca-Cola, Civil Rights Museum, and the Aquarium)
  • State Farm Arena
  • Mercedes Benz Stadium
  • Woodruff Park
  • Peachtree Center (restroom break?)
  • State Capitol and Liberty Plaza

Whew! After all that, we'll make our way back to Grant Park and call it a day.

Arrive by 8:45, so you can find parking, the group, etc. We will leave promptly at 9:00

We will be going at a moderate pace... faster when we can, slower for traffic and photo-ops. Depending on these factors, please be flexible with the timing. We should be done in 3-4 hours, covering 8-9 miles.
