Itinerary:

Let's hike the woods in Decatur, starting at Medlock Park thru Mason Mill and Melton. (No Lullwater this time cause it would've thrown off my alliteration!)

OUR ROUTE: PLEASE READ

We'll meander from Medlock to Mason Mill and Melton. We'll be hiking as much of the wooded trails as possible. There are some sections of pavement and boardwalk to get to the woods, but we'll keep it at a minimal. That's the easy part.

For the harder part - We'll be crossing a creek to get us over to Melton. It's pretty wide (about 20 ft.) There are stones that create a path over, but you may need your poles regardless. There's also a railroad bridge (grating) to walk across with loose rocks. There are some hills. There's also some rock scrambling. So please keep all that in mind when signing up.

PARKING AND MEETING SPOT

We will be meeting at Medlock Park. Meet at the picnic pavillion/hut. There are restrooms here, but may be closed.
