Itinerary: | |||||||
The Alpharetta Greenway is a paved trail through surprisingly beautiful woods considering its "urban" setting. It is not unusual to see wildlife such as deer. It is dedicated to walkers, runners, bikers, etc. so we are not riding in traffic though there are some road crossings. We'll ride approximately 10 easy miles (5 out and 5 back). Our pace will be determined by the group, but since it is a beginner trip count on an easy pace of 10-12 MPH. After the ride you are welcome to join me for coffe at Starbucks around the corner.
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | From Atlanta take GA-400 North to Exit 10 for Old Milton Parkway. Turn right on Old Milton Parkway. Turn left at North Point Pkwy. Take the 3rd right onto Preston Ridge Rd. Turn right again onto unknown road. You will see some parking on the side of the road and additional parking in a small lot to the right before the road dead-ends at the YMCA. Do not park at the Y.
