Itinerary:

It is time to enjoy another one of my favorite trails along the Chattahoochee River & its new trails:  “Island Ford.” While this trail is not a mountain trail, it has moderate slopes, rocky terrain, and narrow trails that make it fun, adventurous, and rewarding.

This section of the trail offers fantastic views of the Chattahoochee River, nature, and wildlife. We will meet in the visitor center parking lot and begin our hike at 8am. We will make our way to some new trails, old trails, and enjoy many amazing views of the Chattahoochee River and nature. We will move at a moderate pace to complete our hike by 9:30. 

I look forward to hiking with everyone on Sunday Morning at 8 am!

How to Get There:
Event Directions:

From northbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road).
- Coming off the exit, stay in the right lane, cross over GA 400, and turn right onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

From southbound US 19 and GA 400
- Take exit #6 (Northridge Road)
- Continue straight ahead at the traffic light onto Dunwoody Place.
- Go 0.5 miles to Roberts Drive.
- Turn right and proceed 0.7 miles to the park entrance on your right.

Meet in the Visitor's Center Parking Lot  ($5 to park)

This area requires a $5 (cash) parking pass if you don't already own an annual pass. No change is available. We will start the hike promptly at 8:00 am! Arrive 5 minutes early to purchase a pass and check in.
