Itinerary:

Paddle 7 is a classic paddle to a resturant and enjoy a lakeside lunch and then paddle back. We will launch from the boat ramp at Moccasin Creek State Park.  We will paddle to Laprade's Marina exploring some inlets on the way.  After lunch we will return the way we came. Lake Burton is a flat water paddle, but we can get some fairly large waves from passing boats.

This is essentially the same paddle that is posted on June 13th with Stacey and Larry - so if you are trying to complete the 12 Paddles in 12 Months Challenge - that paddle will count in place of this one!

If you do not have a boat and wish to rent one you can rent at Moccasin Creek State Park for $24.  Please call ahead to reserve a boat 706.947.3194.

If you have not paddled with me before I may reach out to be sure I am comforatble with your experience.

More information on the "12 paddles in 12 months in 12 Georgia State Parks" (see GA State park list here https://gastateparks.org/sites/default/files/parks/pdf/clubs/ParkPaddlers_MemberCard_2023_fillable.pdf )

I will post the following paddles at least 1 month ahead of the date of the event. The paddles with the * will have boat rentals. I have 1 make-up paddle listed but will likely repeat others over the summer so you wil have several oppurtunities to get 12 paddles. The last paddle is at the Okefenokee, we will rent some cabins and have a celebration for those folks who paddle in 12 parks in 2026.
